Woods Of Ypres final album is a great captivating work of dark splendour.  Anthemic, brooding, and beautifully morose.

The work takes on a far more sombre slant considering the recent untimely passing of band frontman and founder, David Gold.

Whilst the band have no obvious direct comparisons with their sound, parallels can be drawn with Sentenced, Agalloch, Type O Negative, Katatonia or Amorphis.

Truly exceptional and a tragedy that the journey ends here, but an accomplished legacy to leave behind.
