Following up after Autopsy’s superb release last year, comes Exhumed and it appears they’ve been listening to a lot of thrash recently.

I was hoping to avoid ‘X meets Y = A’ comparisons however… Definitely the best way to describe this album is ‘Slayer playing Dying Fetus songs’ as the frenetic energy/guitar tone and solos sound straight out of Reign in Blood, whilst it still contains the very essence of Death Metal from the riffs and gargled vocals to blast beats.

It’s played at a million miles an hour with technical precision and the full 12 track album clocks in at under 35 minutes.
