OK so Angel Witch will never, in my humble opinion, match the classic self -titled album, ever. It is a masterpiece, just listen to the writing and remember that the whole of the thrash genre spawned by young guys on the west coast of America was as a result of them getting their hands on that very album.  

So then, the new album with Kevin Heybourne the only original member of his band, and the first since he got the project back off the ground again in earnest, is a really good heavy metal album, no it’s very, very good !

It features 4 so called ‘lost’ tracks from back in the early ‘80’s Dead Sea Scrolls, Witching Hour, Into the Dark and Guillotine plus 4 newly written tracks which synergy perfectly.

Old school occult ridden heavy metal, NWOBHM if you want to tag it as such, gallops, riffs a plenty and of lyrics about witches, and all things evil. If you like proper heavy metal, played the traditional way, then please buy this album and you will have no regrets.
